RECOVERING FROM FIRES, FLOODS, AND MUDSLITES
FREE EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOPS
“POST DISASTER TAX ISSUES”
John Trapani, CPA spoke to people in
Loveland (February 11th), Boulder and (February 12th), and
Colorado Springs (February 13th), Colorado who experienced disaster
losses in 2012 and 2013. Over 400 citizens attended the meetings.
The
meetings were organized by the recovery staffs of Larimer County, Boulder
County, and El Paso County. A consumer advocacy group, United Policyholders (UP)
has been instrumental in planning and organizing these meetings.

It was an honor to
speak to these people who are experiencing severe emotional stress attempting
to deal with the numerous agencies and insurance adjusters who have a prime
goal of protecting the treasury of the insurance companies that they work for.
